This year in my Reading Class we have been reading A Paradise called Texas and Willow Creek Home. The first book was book was about a German family leaving Germany to come to Texas. On the way Mama dies,and the Jordans meet another family and their baby stops breathing. When they arrive to Fredericksburg they get their land,but Papa and Mina need food to live. So, Papa goes and gets a job to deliver stuff. Mina was suppose to stay with Anna’s family but Anna”s mom got sick. Mina had to stay Tante Lisette who is really nice. Papa came home sick, Tante Lisette took good care of him. When he got better he married her. Then they moved, Tante Lisette has a baby boy and names it Peter. Now the second book, Papa got a job. Then Christmas came, Mina got a black horse. His name was Tucan. After Papa left a Indian tried to steel Tucan. Mina gave the two warning shoots.At the end Mina gets stolen by a bad Indian, her palmls of her hands lost the skin. She turned and spit in his eye,that got her free. She he is probably safe for now. Main charetrs: Mina, Papa, Tante Lisette, Peter, Anna, Amaya, Chief Custleta, Herr Ksuffmann, Herr Hesler, Daniel, Mr. Allen, Herr Lange. My favorite part is chapter 13 in the first book. Night Visitors. She blows into a horn for a boat to cross a running river. It’s my favorite part because its so amezing to me because it seems like its a genie, that will grant you a wish. Also because it’s my best picture.
